The Moucherotte radar tower project is both a constructive and technical achievement, as the structure is located on a mountain peak at an altitude of 1900m.

The metal structure was designed to be as thin as possible but able to withstand violent winds. All the materials and equipment required for the construction of the structure were designed to be transported by helicopter.
