The extension of the Condorcet School in Meyzieu was an important renovation project for the educational institution located in the city centre. Working closely with the municipality's technical services, we designed an extension that blends in harmoniously with the existing building. The project combines modern interventions without compromising the existing structure.

The extension includes a room for ATSEM staff, an extension to the sanitary facilities and a circulation area that serves as a storage area for slippers and a warming zone. Particular attention was paid to ensuring that the extension does not affect the inner courtyard, an important recreational area for the children.

The south façade of the extension consists of a sequence of walls that are greened, perforated and glazed. This interplay of transparency and light provides the existing building with plenty of natural light.
