The Val de l'Indre community association has decided to remodel an area in the village of Vendoeuvres. An urban planning approach was developed through citizen participation. As part of our mission, together with our partner office ‘ Récipro-Cité “, a certification dossier for an ”Ecoquartier’® was drawn up.

The mission included a study of the existing site and its constraints, the development and pre-programming of guidelines, as well as citizen participation through workshops and public meetings.

The challenge of the project was to develop the history of the site as well as the urban and ecological qualities of the spaces.In addition, a new sustainable economic dynamic was to be stimulated. The Vendoeuvres project, located in a rural environment, is an excellent example of planned rural urbanism, developed in close consultation with the residents. It represents a customised response to the many challenges facing rural areas and takes into account their specific characteristics.
